This is Russ' second term on the board. During his first term, he served as Chairperson of the Education committee. Russ began his nursing career at Helene Fuld School of Nursing, where he received his diploma. He received his BSN from Widener University and went to Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia and received his MSN from Temple University in 2001. Russ maintains his membership with AACN and Sigma Theta Tau. He is currently the Associate Program Director for the Nurse Anesthesia Program at The University of Pennsylvania. Russ is currently serving on the AANA Nominating Committee as the Region 1 representative and serves on the committee for accreditation. He also volunteers on medical missions.
JAMIE EISENBERG, CRNA, APN, BSN, MS

Jamie received her BSN from the University of Delaware in 1996. As an undergraduate, Jamie was the recipient of the BRISTOL-MEYER SQUIBB Research Fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. As a result of the research Jamie participated in, she was listed as a author on several published articles. Jamie graduated from the Nazareth Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia and received her MS from St. Joseph’s University in 2002. As an SRNA, she was the recipient of a PANA scholarship. Jamie worked as a CRNA at Cooper University Hospital after graduation. In 2006 Jamie left her full-time position at Cooper to work as an independent contractor. She went on a medical mission to Ghana, West Africa with International Healthcare Volunteers in August 2008. Jamie is on the Government Relations Committee and is enjoying her first term on the board.
PATRICK LOYND, CRNA, DNP

Patrick graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner along with an additional Master’s Degree in Occupational Health & Wellness in 1996. He completed his Nurse Anesthesia program at Nazareth Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesiology in 2003. Recently, he completed his DNP. Patrick is currently employed as a Nurse Anesthetist for Capital Health System. In addition, he serves as a faculty member and associate program director for Nazareth Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesiology. His past professional experience includes the development and implementation of a medical clinic for people with HIV infection in Philadelphia that remains the largest provider of care in the city and of which he remains a member of the Board of Directors.
FERNE M. COHEN CRNA, M.S

Ferne received her baccalaureate degree in nursing in from Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 1986, she graduated from Medical College of Pennsylvania with a MS in Nurse Anesthesia. Since her graduation in 1986, Ferne has practiced in a variety of clinical settings and participated in the clinical education of nurse anesthesia students. Ferne served as Program Director of Our Lady of Lourdes Nurse Anesthesia Program from 1987 to 1990. In 2003, Ferne joined the Nurse Anesthesia Program faculty at Drexel University where she is currently the Associate Program Director. She still maintains her clinical practice in anesthesia. This is her first term serving on the Board of Directors. Ferne’s interests outside of her profession include fitness, spending time with her family and volunteering in her community.
LISA JONES, MSN, CRNA

Lisa is beginning her first tem on the Board. Lisa received her BSN in Nursing in 1996 from Holy Family University and earned her MSN from Drexel University's School of Nurse Anesthesia in 2006. While in graduate school she presented a Poster Presentation at the AANA yearly meeting and had the Poster's Abstract Published in the AANA Journal. She currently works on the Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and also teaches the Anesthesia for the Trauma Patient Lecture at The Children's Hospital's Trauma Certification Program.
LINDA M. DELAMAR, CRNA, MSN, MS

Linda is presently serving a fifth term on the board. In the past, she has served as state president, secretary and program coordinator. She is a 1994 graduate of Nazareth Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia & is presently self employed. Her initial MSN is from Widener University. Linda has lectured at the state & national level as well as for several other conferences in different nursing specialties & has served as a reviewer for a few books, including Alexander’s Care of the Patient in Surgery 12th & 13th edition. Linda is retired from the USAFR, where she functioned as a flight nurse examiner with the 714th AES at McGuire AFB. She maintains memberships with ANA/NJSNA, AACN, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, MHAUS, Sigma Theta Tau & served as a liaison for AACN in the development for national standards for perioperative hypothermia. Linda is also a member of the Medical Reserve Corps of Burlington County and volunteers on medical missions.
ANTONIO LUCIANO, CRNA, BSNA, CNOR, LNC

Tony is presently in his fifth term as an NJANA board member. He obtained his initial anesthesia education at the Puerto Rican School for Nurse Anesthetists in 1975 & a BSNA (BS in Nurse Anesthesia) from the George Washington University School of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences in 1978. He has also worked as a legal consultant and is now a partner in an anesthesiology group based in Monmouth County called Innovative Anesthesia Services. He maintains his memberships with ANA/NJSNA & AORN. In his ‘free time’ he does medical missions at least twice a year with Healing the Children. Tony is very committed to our practice.
TRACY CASTLEMAN, CRNA, MS

This is Tracy's third term on the NJANA board. Tracy received her BSN in 1986 from Niagara University, Niagara Falls, NY and graduated from the Albany Medical College Graduate School for Nurse Anesthesia in 1991. While in graduate school was appointed to the AANA Council on Accreditation as the Student Representative for 1990-1991. After graduation she remained on staff at Albany Medical Center Hospital as a staff CRNA as well as a clinical and didactic instructor in the Nurse Anesthesia Program. She has served as a committee member on the AANA Practice Committee (2000-2001) and the AANA Public Relations Committee (1998-2000), and as Public Relations Committee Chair, (2001-2007. While on the Public Relations Committee, she has helped to develop and grow the AANA Student Mentoring Program at the AANA Annual and Mid-Year Assembly meetings. She has also lectured both to students and around the country on PR skills as well as the value of mentoring in our profession.
BOB MYRINOWSKI, CRNA

This is Bob's third term on the board. Bob graduated from Nazareth Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia in 1986. He presently works for Liberty Anesthesia at Centrastate Medical Center in Freehold and does office anesthesia as an independent contractor.
KURLEIGH THOMAS, CRNA, MSN

Kurleigh was our first student representative. She decided to stay involved and is serving her first term on the BOD as a CRNA. She has a strong critical care background and has been involved in other professional organizations during her nursing career. Kurleigh comes from NY and is a member of the New York Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, AANA, and was also the student representative for the New England Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
CHRISTOL WILLIAMS, RN, BSN, CCRN

Christol is currently a SRNA at UMDNJ. She received her Diploma in Nursing from St. Frances School of Nursing in Jersey City in May 1997 and her BSN from the Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona. She has extensive critical care experience, has participated in several academic projects and has been very active in numerous roles throughout her nursing career. Christol has already been an active participant by attending NJANA and AANA meetings. She participated in the College Bowl at the AANA meeting in Minneapolis August 11th.
So, what do we do? Well, we have been VERY busy! There have been many meetings & brainstorming sessions, most concerned with trying to protect our practice (see political corner). This has taken a lot of time, effort & of course$$$. We also plan our state meetings to provide you with an opportunity for you to obtain CE & network with your colleagues. We are here for YOU & we are always interested in your thoughts & feedback & would love to have you join our team!
